Sengiri Cabbage
Thinly cut cabbage that is a common side dish in Japanese cuisine.
Sengiri (thousand cuts) is the Japanese word for julienne, to cut vegetables into thin strips. Sengiri Cabbage is typically eaten as a salad, and is also used as the base for okinomiyaki, a Japanese pancake made with cabbage, meat, eggs and other vegetables.
While you can cut sengiri cabbage with a knife, a mandolin slicer can be a quicker and more efficient way to make thin uniform cuts. You can find both knives and mandolin slicers in our gift department.
