Chinese Okra
A versatile vegetable used in Chinese cuisine
Chinese okra is dull green in color with ridges running length-wise along the length of the fruit. They are about 4-5 inches and have small white seeds. Chinese okra has a taste and texture similar to zucchini. Chinese okra is used in Chinese cooking, often braised, steamed or sauteed.
Note: The ribs of the Chinese okra must be trimmed to reduce its bitter flavor before using.
