Durian

Known as the "King of Fruit", it is known for it's large size and strong odor

Called the "King of Fruit", durian is a football sized fruit that is yellow-green in color with a heavily spiked skin. Ripe durian has an overpowering odor that makes it banned on buses and in hotels in Indonesia and Malaysia and not readily available. Eaten fresh, durian has a custard-like texture and flavor. Durian is also available canned or bottled in syrup.
