Coriander is a spice created from the seed of the coriander plant while the leaves of the plant are oftet referred to as cilantro. Coriander seeds and herbs are important ingredients in south and southeast Asian cooking. The small, round yellow-brown seeds are ground and used as one of the main ingredients in curry. The leaves of the plant is used in salads, soups and as a garnish.
