Obon Dance Demonstration with White River, Seattle Betsuin, and Tacoma Buddhist Temples

Obon Dance or Bon Odori is a style of Japanese folk dance performed during the Obon festival typically held in the summer.

Natsu Matsuri will take place on 6th & Weller Street, on the northside of Seattle Uwajimaya. Demos will also be taking place inside throughout the store!

If you’re using transit to arrive, depart the light rail at the International District/Chinatown station or hop off the bus at the 4th Ave S & S Jackson St stop for the closest drop-offs to our location (and just a five minute walk left to arrive).

 

Parking

We offer up to 2 hours of free parking in the Uwajimaya Village surface lot at 714 6th Ave S with validation*. Space is limited, so early arrival is recommended. Additional street parking** and paid lots are available nearby.

 

*Validation available with qualifying purchases at Uwajimaya and select Village retailers.

 

**Street parking is free on Sunday.
