Chopsticks are the eating and cooking utensil of choice in many parts of Asia. In general, chopsticks are two sticks of equal length and thickness held in one hand to grasp food. Chopsticks are made from various materials, including bamboo, plastic, silver, wood, and ivory just to name a few. The preferred material, shape and manner of holding one's chopsticks varies from region to region.
