Mochi Waffles

Ingredients

Kirimochi Blocks

Kinako (Roasted Soybean Powder)

Sweet Kinako Mochi Waffle with Honey

1-2 piece - Kirimochi Block

1 tsp - Kinako (Roasted Soybean Powder)

1 tsp - Sugar

Honey

 

Mochi Waffle with Shoyu and Nori

1-2 piece - Kirimochi Block

Soy Sauce

Dried Nori Sheet

Preparation

Mochi Waffle 

1. Lightly oil a heated waffle iron with butter or cooking spray. Place 1 or 2 pieces of kirimichi and lay the lid down. Our mini waffle iron is the perfect size for 1 kirimochi piece. 

2. After 3 minutes, the kirimochi should be soft enough to close the lid fully. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

3. Remove from the waffle iron, and set on a plate. Add the toppings of your choice and eat immediately.

 

Sweet Kinako Mochi Waffle with Honey

1. In a bowl, mix 1 tsp kinako to 1 tsp sugar.

2. Top cooked mochi waffle with sweet kinako mixture and honey. Eat immediately.

 

Mochi Waffle with Shoyu and Nori

1. Pour soy sauce in a small plate our bowl, and place cooked mochi waffles in the soy sauce, coating both sides. For full size waffles, cut into 4 pieces.

2. Cut nori sheets to size, and wrap around mochi waffles. Eat immediately.
