Since 1928, Uwajimaya has been more than just a grocery store—it’s been a part of the Pacific Northwest community. From our founder, Fujimatsu Moriguchi, serving fishcakes from the back of his truck to local Japanese laborers in Tacoma, WA, we’ve grown into the largest locally and family-owned Asian grocery retailer in the Pacific Northwest, with three stores in Washington and one in Oregon.
