Lau Lau

Ingredients:

3/4 lb. pork, cut into 6 pieces

3/4 lb. cod, salted & cut into 6 pieces

1-1 1/2 lb. taro leaves (produce department)

12 ti leaves (produce department)

salt to taste

Preparation:

Make 6 servings

Remove stems and wash taro leaves. Salt cod to taste. Wrap a piece of pork and fish in 8-10 taro leaves into a bundle. Place a seam end down in the center of the two crossed ti leaves. Pull up ti leaves and tie securely. Steam 4-6 hours in a covered steamer in the oven at 300 degrees F.
