Uwajimaya Bellevue to Open at New Location Convenient to Downtown Bellevue – Friday, March 25th, 11:00 a.m.
CORRECTION: We will be open
at 11:00am on Friday, March 25, 2011.
Uwajimaya Bellevue will move to 699 120th Avenue Northeast, Bellevue, WA, on March 25, 2011. This new location is near the Northeast Eighth Street exits of Interstate 405.
“Because of the growth on the Eastside and in our customers, we’ve wanted to enlarge and update our Uwajimaya Bellevue store for several years,” stated Uwajimaya CEO, Tomoko Moriguchi Matsuno, Uwajimaya, Inc.
Uwajimaya Bellevue will be 35,000 square feet; 50% larger than the current Uwajimaya at 15555 Northeast 24th Street. Store design is a collaboration of Tomoko and Tom Phillips of Phillips Enterprises. The general contractor is Abbott Construction.
The new, larger Uwajimaya Bellevue will feature a full array of Asian groceries, produce, meat, seafood, gifts and a deli with Asian hot and prepared foods, in addition to standard American groceries. The new Uwajimaya Bellevue will offer a few surprises and as always, capture customers’ imaginations with unique Uwajimaya décor.
