Will you be opening up any other stores in the near future; besides the one you have already?

Our goals is to have more Uwajimaya Asian Grocery & Gift Markets in the central Puget Sound area and possibly other parts of the country. We continue to look for opportunities. No date or location has been set for our fourth store.

Why do I have to pay for parking while all other markets don't charge?

It is true that grocery stores like Uwajimaya Village are being built on high priced land and garages must be built to provide adequate parking. Examples include the QFC on Mercer Street next to Seattle Center and the QFC on Broadway close to Seattle University. Unfortunately, you also see this trend in downtown Bellevue where the Barnes & Noble and Starbucks now have parking attendants and charge for parking. At Uwajimaya Village, some amount of parking is free with a minimum purchase.

Do other places in Uwajimaya Village validate parking?

Yes. Other places under Uwajimaya Village will validate parking up to 2 hours with a minimum of a $15.00 purchase or 1 hour with a minimum purchase of $7.50
