Assistant Grocery Manager - Full Time

Assistant Grocery Manager’s responsibility is to assist the Grocery Manager in managing and organizing plan and organize department operations. He/she will assist in determining and achieving department goals, monitor, select and purchase grocery merchandise. Develop an effective, highly motivated team that works together to achieve goals.

• Must have minimum of 2 years retail experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Japanese products is a highly preferred
• Ability to read, write and speak Japanese is a plus.
• Have shown strong performance & professionalism in current job position and in handling of current job duties and interactions with co-workers and customers.
• Have a good understanding of profits, sales, GP margins, labor/sales ratios, and inventory levels and turns.
• Proficient knowledge of retail accounting, use of PC, word processing, and database programs.
• Ability to manage projects, meet objectives, deadlines, budgets and strong attention to detail.

Cashier - Part Time

Cashier’s responsibility is to provide excellent customer service and product information to our customers. He/she is responsible for ringing up customers’ purchases accurately and efficiently. Cashier is also responsible for stocking small items around the registers and familiarizing with basic knowledge of store layout and products’ prices.

  • Must have good command of English, excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must have good math skills and 10-key skills required.
  • Ability to operate register and scanning machine preferred.

Meat Service Counter Clerk - Full Time

The Meat Service Counter Clerk will provide excellent customer service to our patrons by providing customers with information on special cuts of meat, portions, recipes and menu suggestions. He/she will prepare and maintain marinated meats for the service counter. Stock and face the self-service case with packaged products. Maintain overall cleanliness of the stock room while following company’s safety standards.

  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Available to work day or closing shift and on weekends
  • Must have good math and basic computer skills
  • Must be physically fit to be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to the team as a whole.

Produce Clerk - Full Time

The Produce Clerk’s responsibility is to provide excellent customer service to our customers. Assist and provide products information to customers. He/she will responsible for trimming, preparing, stocking and displaying different products in the Produce department. Maintain the cleanliness of the department and the produce stock rooms while following company’s safety standards.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

Seafood Clerk - Full Time

Seafood Clerk’s responsibility is to provide excellent customer service to our customers. He/she is responsible for preparing (cut, clean and wrap) seafood for the display showcase and cutting seafood per customer requests. In addition, he/she will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the premises, receive and repack incoming freight and maintain organization of the freezer while following safety procedures.

  • Ability to prepare fish for wrapping and display; clean, cut, filet fish in such a manner as to avoid waste.
  • Must have good command of English, excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must possess a good knowledge of seafood products and Asian cooking techniques.
  • Must be physically fit to be able to lift 100 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to operate pricing machines and pricing guns.
  • Ability to acquire good overall store and product knowledge.
  • Must be able to work at least one or both weekend days.
  • Possess good oral communication skills (bilingual helpful), and a positive attitude.
